Weaned Calves: In late April and May we will begin
weaning our 2009 fall calves. We have a good selection of polled bull calves
and some heifers. We will be offering a choice of these calves at weaning at
modest prices for breeders to grow out. Call or e-mail now to plan a visit
and make your pick. They are the progeny of our solid dark red polled herd
sire Jedi, son of the polled Cayenne (see Bull Section of this site) and
Coco, a Painted Tiger granddaughter out of Synergy’s Sister.
Farrah’s Karma’s Flush: In December and January we
successfully flushed Karma to Spartacus. We are offering a few of these
embryos to breeders. These embryos should be considered a rare commodity
with Spartacus semen now priced at $300 per straw as well as Karma, (see her
photo in the Donor section), who is a rare daughter of Farrah Lady and
Synergy. (For your information – Dr. John Shull of Brazos Valley Genetics, a
foremost embryologist, does all of our reproductive work.)
Synciara’s Daughter: We have reluctantly sold an
exceptional embryo daughter of our now deceased donor Synciara (see Donor
section) and Cavalier to Steve and Pamela Ramirez. The Ramirez’s are making
big steps to enhance their growing Beefmaster herd. Take time to check out
their new website designed by Pamela: www.ramirezfarmsbeefmasters.com We
only have a few of Synciara’s embryos remaining in our embryo tank. They are
by Spartacus and, again, collected by Dr. Shull.
